The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change's Department of Wildlife Development has carried out an extensive inspection campaign targeting several natural resource and clay extraction sites in various parts of the country, in cooperation and coordination with the Environmental Security Unit of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya).

The campaign is part of the ongoing efforts to protect the environment and conserve natural resources, aiming to detect environmental violations, address breaches, and ensure that the concerned facilities comply with approved environmental standards and requirements.

The inspection activities focused on assessing the extent to which these entities apply the proper environmental practices and on limiting the negative impacts that may result from certain industrial activities, which could pose a direct threat to wildlife, biodiversity, and the ecological balance in the country.

The ministry affirmed it will continue to intensify its monitoring campaigns across various sectors and take legal action against any party proven to have harmed the environment or violated approved regulations. It also stressed the importance of all industrial entities adhering to sustainable development guidelines in order to preserve natural resources for future generations.
