Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed bilateral relations and regional and international developments in a phone call Monday with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
The Turkish Presidency said in a statement that President Erdogan informed Starmer that the humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached a critical point and that it is a duty to humanity to do more than merely voice concern about the events.
The Turkish President also affirmed that his country continues to send humanitarian aid to Gaza, expressing his support for the efforts of mediators aimed at achieving a ceasefire in Gaza.
Erdogan stressed the importance of taking steps to compel the Israeli occupation to pursue ceasefire and two-state solution.
