Doha Municipality Health Control Section of the Municipal Control Department is participating at the 10th Local Dates Festival, organised by the Ministry of Municipality and the Souq Waqif Management.
The municipality’s participation focuses on carrying out intensive inspection and health control campaigns targeting farms and food companies taking part in the festival, which showcase dates and date-related products, alongside a variety of fruits and other food items. These efforts aim to ensure adherence to the proper health practices in food handling and to protect consumers from any potential risks.
In addition, the municipality provides guidance and health awareness to workers in these establishments to enhance the safety of the displayed products and raise nutritional and health awareness among those working in the sector.
Such efforts are part of the supervisory and educational role played by Doha Municipality, in line with the Ministry of Municipality's strategy to enhance food security and achieve the highest standards of food safety across the country.
