Doha Municipality, in co-operation with the Mechanical Equipment Department, has carried out eight demolition orders for old and abandoned buildings in the areas of Najma, New Salata, Al-Ghanim, and Bin Mahmoud.
This brings the total number of demolition orders executed since the beginning of this year to 34.
These actions are part of a comprehensive plan aimed at removing uninhabitable buildings to ensure public safety, reduce visual pollution, and enhance the attractiveness of the urban landscape in line with sound urban growth.
It is also part of the municipality ongoing efforts to develop cities and achieve the highest standards of quality of life.
Accordingly, Doha Municipality reaffirmed its full commitment to enforce construction laws and regulations, in line with the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Municipality to develop sustainable cities and achieve an integrated urban environment that meets residents’ aspirations and supports Qatar National Vision 2030.
