The Qatar Sports Club's Youth Department organised an awareness lecture for community police as part of the 2025 Summer Camp activities.

Mohammed Abdulrahim al-Haidos, head of the Youth Department, said that, in partnership with the Community Police Department and under the auspices of the Youth Affairs Department, Major Jarallah Salem al-Nabet, head of the Section at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, presented the lecture.

Major Jarallah emphasised that the Community Police Department seeks to forge strong relationships between the police, members of the community, and emerging youth cadres of all categories. This is in addition to the services it provides to ensure family safety and its participation in finding solutions to minor problems that may arise between family members.

In co-operation with specialised departments at the Ministry of Interior, the Department designs awareness programmes on security and public safety issues. It also builds strong relationships with the public, explains the concept of community policing, enhances youth's awareness of the role of community policing, and spreads awareness among youth about the pivotal roles of community policing.

Major Jarallah also emphasised that the department is working to dedicate its mandate to communicating with all sections of society to support the Ministry of Interior's role in addressing social problems for the purpose of prevention.

The lecture also highlighted the role of community policing in Qatar and its adoption by the Ministry of Interior as one of the pillars of its strategy.

He also explained the department's responsibilities in working to spread positive values in society, and combating bad habits. This supports the Ministry of Interior's role in solving social problems and preventing crime, in line with the ministry's strategy to strengthen relations with the community.
