The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change patrols of the Land Protection Department in cooperation with the Environmental Security Forces (Lekhwiya) has carried out an extensive inspection campaign covering several areas in the south of the country, including Wadi Jalal, Al-Rakbah, Mekaines, Umm Uwaynah, Bayda Al-Qaa, Al-Karaana, Umm Al-Jamajim, Al-Sabsab, and Al-Tuwar.
The campaign resulted in spotting a number of environmental violations in different sites that cause direct harm to the natural environment in such areas. Accordingly, all the necessary legal measures were taken against the violators in accordance with the applicable regulations.
