Amidst an atmosphere of enthusiasm and interaction with the diverse activities and programmes, the EROE Summer Camp for boys and girls aged 4-14 was launched.
The camp, held at the Nibras School in Lusail and the Valley Forge Academy in Al Waab, will run for eight weeks, concluding on August 21.
The summer camp features activities that include basketball, volleyball, and tennis training, along with a variety of programmes, recreational games, stretching, flexibility, and balance exercises, an introduction to the importance of healthy eating, and educational workshops.
The camp aims to develop knowledge and promote positive behaviour among children by combining fair sports competitions, education, and awareness.
Summer programme director Aisha Ali Hassan Yousef al-Saai said that the summer camp has witnessed remarkable response and great interest.
The number of participants since its launch has exceeded 156 boys and girls.
Al-Saai said that the attendees are enthusiastic, eager to learn, and participate in the activities.
She emphasised that the summer camp represents a great opportunity to benefit from quality activities that contribute to the children's use of their free time, develop their skills, and instill the concept of sports as a foundation for building a community.
Programme director-general Khaldoun Nashawi stated that the camp includes a wide range of diverse activities and events.
Most notable among these is the swimming programme, supervised by professional trainers, to provide a comprehensive sports experience that combines entertainment, training, and learning.
