French President Emmanuel Macron discussed political issues related to security, defense, and irregular migration during his meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at Downing Street, during his first state visit to the United Kingdom.
Upon his arrival at Downing Street, Macron said that this state visit and summit represent a unique opportunity in these challenging times to work together on Ukraine and achieve significant progress in defense, security, and technology.
This meeting comes on the second day of the French President's state visit to the UK. King Charles III received him on Tuesday at Windsor Castle, before Macron addressed members of both Houses of the UK Parliament at Palace of Westminster.
The 37th UK-France Summit is scheduled to take place on Thursday to determine priorities for cooperation and coordination in the coming period
