The Ministry of Municipality, represented by the Fisheries Department, in co-operation with the Marine Protection Department at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, organised a field awareness campaign targeting fishermen at Al Wakra and Al Khor fishing ports. The campaign, according to an official statement from the Ministry of Municipality, included the distribution of environment-friendly bags for transporting khubz (bread) during fishing trips to reduce the use of plastic bags, which are harmful to the marine environment. This helps preserve the ecosystem and ensure the sustainability of fish wealth for future generations.
