Egypt's Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced that a barge belonging to an oil rig capsized in Jabal Al-Zeit area of the Gulf of Suez.
The Ministry said in a statement that it had received a report from OSUCO company regarding the capsizing of the barge "Adam Marine 12" .
For his part, the Ministry's spokesperson, Moataz Atef, said in press statements that an emergency plan had been activated following the capsizing of an oil rig in the Gulf of Suez, adding that coordination was underway with the Ministry of Health to issue a statement regarding the deaths and injuries resulting from the accident.
For its part, Egyptian media reported, citing medical sources, that the accident resulted in four deaths and a number of injuries who were transferred to hospitals for treatment.
