The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC), represented by the Wildlife Protection Department, has arrested one person for pouring petroleum chemicals in undesignated area causing damage to the plant environment and its components.
This was, according to a statement from the MoECC, during the inspection campaign by the ministry in the central region of the country as part of its efforts to preserve the wildlife environment.
Necessary measures were taken against the violator.
The MoECC urged the public to adhere to environmental laws and refrain from engaging in any practices that would negatively impact the sustainability of natural resources.
