Qatar Charity, in cooperation with the Ministry of Vocational Training, Traditional Industry, and Handcrafts in Mauritania, launched a package of economic empowerment projects for vocational training graduates, including the children and breadwinners of needy families.

In a press statement today, Qatar Charity said that the projects launched included equipping a sewing workshop for 40 families, improving and developing leather tanning and leather products for 64 other families, building a solidarity market for 60 families, and a project to manufacture bricks and cement products for 50 families.

The launch was attended by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Vocational Training, Traditional Industries, and Crafts, Taleb Ould Amadi; Charge d'Affaires of the Qatari Embassy, Fahad Al Dosari; and Director of the Donor Relations Department at Qatar Charity, Khaled Abdullah Al Yafei.

In his speech, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Vocational Training, Traditional Industries, and Crafts emphasized that the launch of these projects comes within the framework of implementing a partnership agreement between the Ministry and Qatar Charity, which aims to support the state's efforts to empower vulnerable groups by providing training opportunities and access to means of production and sustainable sources of income.

For his part, Director of the Donor Relations Department at Qatar Charity, Khaled Abdullah Al Yafei, emphasized that supporting the vocational training and economic empowerment sector is a priority for Qatar Charity. In coordination with the Ministry, Qatar Charity has worked to provide projects that respond to market demands and enhance the employability of youth and female heads of households.
