The State of Kuwait praised the efforts of both the State of Qatar and the United States of America in reaching an agreement to achieve a sustainable peace between the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and the Republic of Rwanda.
In a statement, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the agreement signed in Washington on Friday on the cessation of hostilities between the DRC and Rwanda and expressed appreciation for Qatar and the US for having facilitated the peace talks that led to reaching this agreement.
The Ministry hoped that the deal promotes security and stability in Africa and restated Kuwait's support for settling regional and international contentious issues and disputes through dialogue and diplomacy.
