Commercial Bank, which is rated A2 by Moody’s, A- by S&P and A by Fitch with stable outlook, has successfully issued a three-year tenor, QR500mn senior-unsecured bonds with a coupon of 4.90%. The bonds were issued under its EMTN programme and are listed on the Euronext Dublin.

The successful completion of this transaction underscores the robustness of the Qatari economy and Commercial Bank’s strong credit fundamentals.

The issuance is the largest local currency bond issuance to date by a Financial Institution in Qatar, reaffirming Commercial Bank’s standing as a leading financial institution in the region with strong presence in the domestic and international capital markets.

DBS Bank and Standard Chartered Bank acted as the joint lead managers to the issuances.
