The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) announced that it has sent only 9,000 tons of food aid to the Gaza Strip since May 19, noting that this is not enough for one day.
The UN program said in a post on the X platform Wednesday that this aid is less than the amount of food required for one day, not for a month, for the entire population of the Strip.
It affirmed its readiness to expand its operations in the besieged Strip, stressing in this regard the need for access and better conditions to safely carry out its work in the Strip.
Last week, the WFP condemned the completely unacceptable violence faced by starving Palestinians while attempting to obtain humanitarian aid in the besieged Gaza Strip, considering this type of practice a flagrant violation of human dignity and a cause of the exacerbation of the humanitarian catastrophe facing more than two million Palestinians in the Strip.
