His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan held a meeting Wednesday, where they discussed the solid fraternal relations between the two countries and ways to support them across various fields, in addition to the regional developments and the efforts exerted to achieve peace and stability that will lead to growth and prosperity for all their peoples.

At the outset of the meeting, His Highness the Amir welcomed the UAE president and the accompanying delegation, expressing his pleasure with this visit, which reflects the depth of relations between the two fraternal countries.

For his part, the UAE president reiterated his country's solidarity with Qatar and its support for it following the attack that targeted its territory. The UAE president affirmed his country's support for all measures that Qatar may take to preserve its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its people.

The President of the UAE also commended the efforts made by His Highness the Amir in facilitating the ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel.

In this regard, His Highness the Amir voiced his deep appreciation to the president of the UAE for his solidarity and sincere feelings, as well as his country's stance towards Qatar and its people following the recent Iranian military attack.

His Highness the Amir and the President of the UAE exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual interest, particularly the current situation in the Middle East following the announcement of a ceasefire agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel.

In this regard, the two sides stressed the importance of strengthening dialogue and diplomatic solutions as the only means to overcome regional crises and maintain regional and global security.

On the UAE's side, the meeting was attended by Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon al-Nahyan, Secretary-General of Supreme Council for National Security Ali bin Hammad al-
Shamsi, HE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Omar Sultan al-Olama, Adviser to the President for Strategic Research and Advanced Technology Affairs Faisal Abdulaziz al-Bannai, and a number of members of the accompanying delegation.

Earlier, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani led well-wishers to welcome his brother President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan upon his arrival at the Amiri Terminal in Hamad International Airport on a fraternal visit to the country.

Also present to welcome President of the UAE was His Highness Personal Representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani, HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan al-Thani, HE Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed al- Khulaifi, Ambassador of the UAE to Qatar Sheikh Zayed bin Khalifa bin Sultan bin Shakhboot al-Nahyan and a number of senior officials.

The President of the UAE is accompanied by Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, and a number of ministers, members of the official delegation accompanying the president.

Later, His Highness the Amir led the farewell of President of the United Arab Emirates upon his departure along with the accompanying delegation from the Amiri Terminal in Hamad International Airport after concluding a fraternal visit to the country.

The UAE president was also seen off by His Highness the Personal Representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani.
