Qatar Airways has retimed a number of flights for the coming weeks, which the national airline said is “to ensure connectivity and minimise disruptions across the airline’s global network.”

“In some cases, departure times may be earlier than originally scheduled,” the national airline said in a travel alert Sunday.

Ahead of travel, passengers are urged to verify their flight departure times via qatarairways.com or by using the Qatar Airways mobile app to ensure a seamless journey.

“The safety of our passengers and crew remains our highest priority and Qatar Airways fully complies with the international aviation regulations for safe aircraft routes,” Qatar Airways said.

Already, the national airline Qatar Airways cancelled flights "temporarily" to Iran, Iraq and Syria due to the current situation in the region.

The affected airports in Iran include: Imam Khomeini Airport, Mashhad Airport, and Shiraz Airport.

In Iraq, the affected airports are: Baghdad Airport, Erbil Airport, Basra Airport, Sulaymaniyah Airport and Najaf Airport.

In Syria, the affected airport is Damascus International Airport.
