The fifth edition of the “Recycling Towards Sustainability Conference and Exhibition” will focus on five key themes while discussing the innovations and sustainability in waste management.
The Ministry of Municipality, the organiser of the event, said in an X post that spotlight will be on “waste treatment projects”, “recycling in construction and demolition”, “extended producer and supplier responsibility”, “the path to an inclusive circular economy that fosters innovation and sustainability”, and “the role of education and academic research in recycling”.

To be held under the patronage of HE the Minister of Municipality Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah al-Attiyah, the event takes place on June 25-26 at Raffles Doha Hotel.
It features the participation of prominent officials from Qatar and several countries worldwide as well as a distinguished group of experts, specialists and representatives of companies and institutions operating in the waste management and recycling sector at the local and international levels.
The latest edition will focus on showcasing the latest technologies and practices in waste management.
It will also promote the concept of a circular economy, highlight the importance of expanding the use of recycled materials, and encourage public-private partnerships to launch innovative recycling and sustainability initiatives, in line with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
It will feature more than 35 speakers including senior local and international officials and experts, as well as representatives from companies and institutions operating in this vital sector.
The conference will address key topics, including waste treatment projects, recycling of demolition and construction waste, extended producer and supplier responsibility, and the role of education and academic research in supporting recycling efforts.
The conference will be accompanied by an exhibition featuring more than 40 exhibitors from the public and private sectors including the Ministry of Municipality, several government agencies, specialised companies and factories, as well as individual and community initiatives in the field of waste sorting and recycling.
