One person was killed and another injured when Israeli aircraft targeted the Nabatieh and Al-Khiyam areas in southern Lebanon last night.
Lebanese National News Agency reported that an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle with a missile near the Kfarjouz roundabout in Nabatieh, killing its rider. A young man was also injured by shrapnel from the drone's missile explosion.
A ceasefire agreement in southern Lebanon went into effect on Nov. 27, stipulating the withdrawal of Israeli forces from border villages and towns within a 60-day period. The Lebanese government later agreed to extend the deadline until Feb.18. However, Israeli forces remained stationed at five border points, while violations continued in various areas.
