The Sultanate of Oman has warned that the Israeli military aggression against Iranian territory risks derailing diplomatic efforts and undermining regional security and stability.

In an official statement issued on Friday, Oman strongly condemned what it described as a brutal military aggression by Israel targeting the sovereign territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The attack, which struck key facilities and resulted in casualties, was characterized by Oman as a dangerous and reckless escalation and a flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter and international law.

The statement emphasized that such ongoing aggressive actions are unacceptable and threaten the foundations of stability in the region.

Oman held Israel fully responsible for the escalation and its potential repercussions, urging the international community to take a clear and decisive stance to halt this dangerous trajectory. It warned that continued aggression threatens to eliminate the prospects for diplomatic solutions and further fuels instability across the region.

Notably, Muscat has previously hosted multiple rounds of negotiations between Tehran and Washington. On Thursday, Oman announced it would host a new round of nuclear talks between the two sides.
