The Israeli occupation authorities imposed a full closure on the occupied West Bank on Friday, severely restricting the movement of Palestinian citizens. The move coincided with Israel's military strikes on Iran.
According to the Palestinian news agency (WAFA), the occupation forces intensified military measures in and around the Qalqilya Governorate, shutting down the city's eastern entrance and the access points to nearby villages. A military checkpoint was also erected at the southern entrance, where citizens were prevented from traveling.
In Bethlehem, all routes leading into the governorate were closed, in what appears to be part of an ongoing escalation by the occupation forces.
In Jericho, Israeli forces sealed off the city's entrances and closed the Karameh border crossing in the eastern West Bank at dawn. Military checkpoints were deployed across key access points, including the southern checkpoint, the Yellow Gate near the crossing, and the Banana and Al-Hay'a checkpoints north of Jericho.
The lockdown comes hours after Israel launched airstrikes on Iranian territory, resulting in multiple casualties, including senior military officials, scholars, and civilians.
