Personnel from the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC)’s Marine Protection Department conducted field inspection tours during the Eid al-Adha holidays across the northern, southern, and western areas of the country’s local waters.
The main objective was to monitor marine activities, detect violations, and ensure adherence to established environmental regulations.
Such efforts are part of the MoECC’s broader mission to safeguard marine ecosystems and biodiversity across Qatar.
The MoECC urged all sea-goers to follow environmental guidelines, avoid littering, and refrain from using illegal fishing gear, stressing that protecting marine life and maintaining a clean, sustainable marine environment is a shared responsibility.
