Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Sunday said that, following a hoax bomb threat, a passenger plane made safe landing at Kuwait International Airport.

In a press statement carried by Kuwait News Agency, DGCA's Spokesman Abdullah Al-Rajhi said that the bomb threat was received while the scheduled flight was en-route to Kuwait. The report was handled immediately in line with relevant security procedures and protocols at Kuwait International Airport.

Al-Rajhi added that in full collaboration with the Ministry of Interior and relevant authorities, the aircraft landed safely at the airport with relevant security plans put in place and all passengers disembarked from the plane.

Al-Rajhi confirmed that all passengers are safe and sound and flight schedules have not been affected.
