The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) held its Annual Corporate Forum recently in the presence of HE the Minister of Public Health Mansour bin Ibrahim bin Saad al-Mahmoud and PHCC managing director Dr Mariam Ali Abdulmalik.

The event was also attended by members of the executive leadership team, health centre managers, department heads, honoured employees, and several clinical and administrative staff.

Dr Abdulmalik highlighted the PHCC’s major achievements in 2024 and early 2025, including success in international accreditations, improvements in service quality, expanded access to care, development of national talent, and enhanced employee satisfaction.

She noted the expansion of services, with more than 1.8mn registered beneficiaries and more than 3mn family medicine visits – a 28% growth.

New specialised services were launched, including urgent care, sepsis detection, cancer survivor care, and expanded ophthalmology services.

Regarding human resources, nationalisation reached 27%, with more than 400 Qatari employees promoted.

The ceremony included the recognition of distinguished “Ataa” employees who have served the PHCC for over 25 years.

Awards were also presented to outstanding directorates and health centres across the northern, central, and western regions, as well as to the winners of the Staff Satisfaction Survey Award, reflecting the PHCC’s commitment to improving employee experience and fostering positive competition.

Dr Abdulmalik honoured four entities for winning the Staff Satisfaction Survey Award: Leghwairiya Health Centre, Al Mashaf Health Centre, West Bay Health Centre, and Strategy Planning and Health Intelligence.

Also honoured were the Corporate Project Management Office, the Managing Director’s Office, and the departments of Human Resources, HIM Operations, and Clinical Effectiveness.

Dr Abdulmalik also recognised outstanding committees at the PHCC, namely the Corporate Ethics Committee, the Drug Management Committee, and the Code Blue Committee.

Madinat Khalifa Health Centre (Northern Region) represented by Dr Amal Saeed al-Yafei; Al Sadd Health Centre (Central Region), represented by Dr Muna Ahmed al-Hail; and Abu Nakhla Health Centre (Western Region) represented by Dr Fahima Ahmed Nabina were recognised as outstanding health centres.

The event also honoured 40 employees from various departments, as well as 37 employees from the Northern Region, 43 employees from the Central Region, and 43 employees from the Western Region.
