Qatar is participating in the 4th International Legal Forum (of the Tashkent Law Spring, under the theme "The Age of Digital Technology A Legal perspective on the Future." The delegation representing the State is headed by HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali al-Mohannadi, and includes representatives from several relevant entities.

The forum, organized by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is a prominent international platform for showcasing modern approaches to legal regulation, with the participation of a select group of experts, lawyers, legal scholars, and decision-makers from business communities around the world.

The forum offers an opportunity to exchange expertise and discuss legal developments related to the business environment, information technology, and innovative partnerships, in addition to the challenges facing legal professions amid rapid digital transformations.

Participants in the forum also explore the potential impact on legal practices dealing with contemporary issues, trends in the automation of legal procedures, and the protection of intellectual property rights. The forum’s program includes a number of official and public sessions, panel discussions, specialized workshops, and advanced training courses held on the sidelines of the forum, with the aim of deepening dialogue on key contemporary legal issues and anticipating solutions to the challenges facing modern legal systems.

On the sidelines of the forum’s first day, HE the Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs held separate meetings with Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan Akbar Tashkulov, and Minister of Legal Affairs and Institutional Reform of Malaysia Dato’ Sri Azalina Othman Said. They discussed legal and judicial co-operation between the State of Qatar and both the Republic of Uzbekistan and Malaysia, and discussed ways to strengthen and further develop these relations.
