Qatar's ambassador to Malaysia Salah bin Mohammed al-Sorour affirmed that His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani's visit to Malaysia reflects the depth of fraternal relations between the two countries, and enhances strategic co-operation in the fields of economy, investment and education.
In an interview with Qatar News Agency (QNA), the ambassador said that the visit will open new horizons for enhancing political co-ordination and regional dialogue, in a way that supports the interests of the two peoples and strengthens partnership with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean).
He emphasised that the relations between Qatar and Malaysia have recently witnessed significant development across several areas. This progress reflect both countries' commitment to strengthening co-operation in fields of economy, investment, and education, as well as their coordination on regional and international issues.
On the Amir's participation in the Asean-GCC-China Economic Summit, the ambassador said that it reflects Qatar's strategic vision to strengthen regional and international partnerships. "We are confident that this participation will contribute to opening new horizons for constructive cooperation during the next phase, serving common interests and expanding opportunities for integration in various fields," he added.
