Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi discussed with Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Ren Hongbin cooperation relations and the strategic partnership between the GCC and China.

They also discussed ways to develop cooperation in various economic, commercial, and investment fields, in addition to bolstering ties between the two sides in order to achieve common interests.

During the meeting, the Secretary General stressed the importance that the GCC countries attach to strengthening cooperation with China, considering it an important international partner for the GCC countries.

Moreover, he praised the level of trade exchange and investment cooperation between the two sides, and the role played by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in consolidating this partnership.

"The expressed interest of major Chinese companies in investing in the GCC countries highlights both the region's promising investment opportunities and its stable, stimulating economic environment, advanced infrastructure, and supportive legislation. This underscores growing international confidence in the Gulf economies and reinforces the GCC's position as a key strategic economic partner regionally and globally," he stated.

For his part, Ren Hongbin expressed his appreciation for the attention and support that Gulf-Chinese relations receive, noting his country's keenness to enhance cooperation with the GCC countries in various fields of common interest. (
