More than 20 citizens, including several children, were martyred early Wednesday in Israeli occupation airstrikes on various areas in the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian news agency (WAFA) said that 11 citizens were martyred and 13 others were injured when a home on Al-Nuzha Street in Jabalia al-Balad, north of the Gaza Strip, was targeted.

Five citizens, including three children, one of whom was an infant, were also martyred when Israeli warplanes bombed a house in the city of Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip.

In the southern Gaza Strip, four citizens were martyred and others were injured when Israeli warplanes bombed a home in the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis.

Three citizens were also martyred in a bombing of a house in the Ma'an area, south of Khan Yunis.

The Israeli occupation forces also carried out a demolition operation against several buildings west of the town of Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip.

Since Oct. 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation forces have launched an aggression against the Gaza Strip, resulting in the martyrdom of 53,573 citizens, the majority of whom were children and women, and the injury of 121,688 others. This is a preliminary toll, as a number of victims remain under the rubble and on the streets, unable to be reached by ambulance and rescue crews.
