Algeria signed a strategic framework agreement with the Islamic Development Bank group (IsDB) for the period 2025-2027, with the aim of supporting competitiveness, economic diversification, and infrastructure development.

The agreement was signed in Algiers by Algerian Minister of Finance, Abdelkrim Bouzerd, and Chairman of IsDB group Dr. Muhammad Sulaiman Al-Jasser.

The agreement aims to strengthen key sectors of the national economy, including support for the private sector, human capital development, and enhancing regional cooperation, in addition to four supporting axes: developing Islamic finance tools, mitigating the effects of climate change, empowering women and youth, and developing capacities and building skills.
