The State of Qatar, represented by a delegation from the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs, is participating in the 37th meeting of the Permanent Committee of Specialists in Islamic Affairs and Endowments in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

Qatar is also participating in the 12th meeting of the committee tasked with studying the presentation of the true image of Islam and confronting campaigns of hatred, intolerance, extremism, and sectarianism.

Both meetings will be held at the headquarters of the GCC General Secretariat in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Awqaf's delegation will be headed by HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf), Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al-Thani, accompanied by several officials and directors of departments related to Islamic affairs and endowments.

During the two meetings, the specialists in Islamic affairs and endowments will discuss several working papers, research, and proposals submitted by the GCC countries. These include the exchange of scientific research and experiences in the field of endowments among member states (interactive seminars), the presentation of experiences in the field of Islamic affairs, and the Gulf Endowment Week.

The discussions also include several proposals submitted by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in the State of Kuwait.
