Qatar Charity (QC) hosted a fun day for more than 500 sponsored orphans from Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir provinces, a statement said.
An awareness walk was also organised to highlight the rights of orphaned children and to advocate for their protection, inclusion, and empowerment within society.
"I lost my father at a very young age,” said 14-year-old Sehar Sarfraz. “Since then, Qatar Charity has supported my education and healthcare. I participate in all its programmes and events with great enthusiasm.”
Nine-year-old Ahmed Gul echoed her excitement, saying: “I am passionate about boxing and dream of becoming a professional boxer one day. I am thankful to Qatar Charity and my sponsors for supporting my dreams.”
Six-year-old Maham Javed shared her enjoyment: "I love painting and playing with colours. These activities are so much fun – full of creativity and joy."
The number of those sponsored through the QC’s “Rofaqa” initiative reached 11,884: 10,904 orphans, 362 needy families, 281 people with special needs, and 337 higher education students.
