HE the Minister of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs, Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem al-Ghanim, on Monday met with the licensed Qatari Haj campaign operators for the current Haj season to assess the level of preparedness, review operational frameworks, and examine field arrangements, with the objective of ensuring a safe and seamless pilgrimage for the pilgrims of Qatar.

HE al-Ghanim was apprised of the campaigns' preparations, including those related to accommodation, provision of top-notch catering and transportation services within the holy sites, comprehensive healthcare, religious guidance, and administrative support, in addition to close coordination with the auxiliary units of the Qatari Haj Mission.

Partnership, integration, and concerted efforts between Awqaf, represented by the Haj and Umrah Affairs Department, and Haj campaigns are paramount to jointly provide an unbridled and successful model of Haj for pilgrims from Qatar, beginning with the registration and contractual procedures, proceeding through the performance of the sacred rites, and culminating in their safe return to the homeland upon the fulfillment of the fifth pillar of Islam, HE al-Ghanim stressed.

In addition, HE the Minister listened to the feedback and suggestions of the operators of these campaigns on advancing work mechanisms and the offered services, as well as streamlining the process of communicating with pilgrims.

It is of paramount importance to remove any potential hurdles that might be encountered by those campaigns, HE al-Ghanim underlined, praising the campaigns' adherence to Awqaf's regulatory and technical standards, along with all instructions from the authorities in Saudi Arabia for the sake of pilgrims' comfort.

HE al-Ghanim highlighted that the ministry is vested with the responsibility of harnessing all logistical, technical, and guidance-related efforts for pilgrims, in collaboration with the concerned entities in Qatar and Saudi Arabia, represented by the Ministry of Haj and Umrah, alongside the relevant entities to ensure a streamlined Haj experience for pilgrims.
