He noted the growing interest of American citizens in joining the military, responding to the call of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Donald Trump, stressing that this return to solid combat values is rebuilding the American military institution on solid foundations.
Hegseth recalled recent wars and conflicts, saying that the collapse in Afghanistan .. and what happened on October 7 .. and the war in Ukraine, are all signs of weakness, but under President Trump's leadership, the US is experiencing a true renaissance. He emphasized that American leadership is what makes peace, and "Our allies know that we will stand beside them".
