The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipality, represented by Al Wakra Municipality, recovered a dead dugong that had been caught in a fishing net on the beach of the old Al Wakra market. The Ministry's specialized teams transported the fish to the Sealine area to take the necessary samples and conduct relevant scientific studies to enhance efforts to protect this type of marine organism. The fish was then buried in accordance with established environmental procedures. The Ministry also urged fishermen and seafarers not to abandon abandoned nets, given the danger they pose to marine organisms and the possibility of their death.
