IPH Books is once again showcasing Malayalam literature at the Doha International Book Fair 2025 for the 12th consecutive year, a statement said. This year, IPH has brought over 600 Malayalam titles to the fair. In addition to books published by IPH, the pavilion features works from a wide array of prominent Malayalam publishers including DC Books, Mathrubhumi, Pradeeksha, Book Plus, Olive, Other Books, Madhyamam Books, and Yuvatha Books.
A curated collection of acclaimed Malayalam novels such as Athreyakam, Maranavamsam, Mariya Verum Mariya, Oru Kaalam, and Agartha are also available. Reflecting this year’s guest country, Palestine, the pavilion hosts a special display of Malayalam books that delve into the Palestinian cause and related themes.
Over a hundred titles in children's literature are on offer, catering to younger readers. A major highlight is the availability of the most comprehensive Islamic encyclopedia ever published in Malayalam. The stall also features curated book packages, including the Tafheem-ul-Quran Package, Hadith Package, Children’s Literature Package, History Package, and Family Package.
Books authored by expatriate Malayali writers in Qatar are also prominently displayed, offering a platform for local literary voices. The IPH pavilion, number 58 in hall number three at the fair, will also host daily surprises, competitions, and book giveaways. The release of 10 new titles is also scheduled to take place adjacent to the pavilion.
