talabat, the leading on-demand delivery platform in the Mena region, has been recognised as a winner of the Qatar CSR Awards 2025, following its participation as a sponsor of the Qatar CSR Summit, hosted by Qatar University recently.
The recognition for talabat is for its long-standing commitment to sustainability and social responsibility across its operations, a statement said.
The award was given in acknowledgement of key initiatives such as the 'Together for Gaza' and 'Together for Lebanon' campaigns, launched in partnership with Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) and raised QR1.1mn in November 2024.
In August 2024, talabat also collaborated with Qatari brand Freshqa to launch an exclusive 'watermelon and feta cheese' product on talabat mart, with 100% of proceeds donated to Gaza via QRCS.
Francisco Miguel De Sousa, managing director of talabat Qatar, stated: “We are honoured to be recognised among Qatar’s leading CSR contributors. Our partnerships with local charities and brands reflect our values and purpose: to use our platform as a driver for good. At talabat, we see this not only as a responsibility, but as a core value in our operations. We remain committed to creating meaningful change and positive impact within our community.”
As part of the summit programme, Mariam Hammad, director of Logistics at talabat Qatar, delivered a presentation on the role of electric vehicles in advancing CSR within food delivery, highlighting talabat’s ongoing efforts.
