Eleven Palestinians were killed and several others injured in several airstrikes and artillery shelling by Israeli occupation forces Monday evening in several areas in the Gaza Strip.
Local sources said that three citizens were killed and four others were injured when Israeli warplanes bombed a group of citizens near Al Karama Roundabout, northwest of Gaza City. Another citizen died of his wounds in a previous bombing that targeted Al Nazzaz Street in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, east of the city.
In the northern Gaza Strip, sources reported the death of a citizen and the injury of others as a result of an Israeli bombardment targeting Al Nuzha Street in Jabalia Al Balad, while the death toll from an earlier bombardment today on Beit Hanoun rose to four, after two others succumbed to their wounds.
In the central Gaza Strip, medical sources announced that the death toll from Israeli shelling of several areas in the Nuseirat refugee camp had risen to nine. Three civilians were killed when the occupation forces bombed a civilian car near the Abu Sarar junction in the center of the camp, and a group of civilians near the Nuwairi hill to the west of it. This resulted in six martyrs.
Al Awda Hospital reported receiving approximately 20 wounded people as a result of several raids launched by the occupation forces on the Nuseirat camp. It noted that a child died of wounds sustained in an Israeli bombing several days earlier on a house in the camp, in which his parents and sister were killed.
In the southern Gaza Strip, the same sources reported that the occupation forces' artillery shelled the Al Farahin neighborhood, north of the town of Abasan Al Kabira, east of Khan Yunis, simultaneously with airstrikes. Meanwhile, Israeli vehicles penetrated the eastern parts of the neighborhood amidst intense gunfire and artillery shelling.
Earlier today, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 52,567 martyrs and 118,610 injured. This is a preliminary toll, with a number of victims still under the rubble and on the streets, as ambulances and rescue crews cannot reach them. (QNA)
