The Katara Library of Arabic Novel, located in Building 48 of the Katara Cultural Village Foundation, hosted a distinguished cultural symposium titled "Arab Culture in Hindi Translation: Creative Models from Qatar."

The symposium brought together a group of translators and researchers from leading Indian universities, along with a number of intellectuals and those interested in translation and Arabic literature.

The symposium discussed the role of translation as an effective cultural bridge between peoples and an important tool for conveying Arabic creativity into international languages. With a focus on Hindi as one of the most widely spoken languages in South Asia. Participants highlighted examples of Qatari literature translated into Hindi. Emphasising that these works reflect the depth of Qatar's cultural experience and contribute to strengthening the Arab literary presence on the global stage.

A number of academics and professionals specialising in translation spoke during the session, emphasising the importance of strengthening co-operation between cultural institutions in the Arab world and their counterparts in India. They also presented successful experiences in translating Qatari narrative and poetic texts into Hindi.
