The Qatar Sports For All Federation (QSFA) has announced the organization of a Sustainability Marathon in collaboration with Education City and students from sustainable development programs. The event will take place at the Sustainability Park at Qatar Foundation.
The marathon, which will kick off on Saturday evening, will feature 50 students from the youth and junior categories, participating in a race that carries health, environmental, and educational significance. The event is part of a series of initiatives aimed at promoting physical activity as a lifestyle, raising environmental awareness, and aligning with sustainability principles through sports.
Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of QSFA, highlighted the importance of adopting sports activities as an effective means to enhance physical fitness across all age groups within society, as well as its role in environmental awareness.
In his statement, Al Dosari said that QSFA is committed to making sports an effective and inclusive tool for improving physical health, as well as preserving the environment. He underlined the importance of the partnership between QSFA and Education City, which resulted in the organization of numerous sports events and competitions.
The "Sustainability Marathon" is part of the QSFA strategy, which aims to make physical activity a key part of daily life for members of the community while raising awareness about environmental sustainability. (QNA)
