As part of its Ramadan campaign "Giving Lives On", Qatar Charity (QC), through its office in Bangladesh, distributed food parcels to needy families and sponsored orphans’ families, benefitting 13,405 individuals.
The initiative aims to ensure families can prepare daily Iftar meals throughout Ramadan. The beneficiaries expressed heartfelt appreciation to the generous donors in Qatar.
Aminul Islam, a father of three from a rural area, said: "Receiving this aid during Ramadan has been a huge relief for my family. With the rising cost of living, feeding my children has become challenging. Qatar Charity's efforts have made this Ramadan much easier for us, and I am truly grateful for their timely support."
Muhsina Khatun, an elderly widow, said: "Qatar Charity’s team came to my home and delivered the food parcel right to my door. It brought tears to my eyes, knowing that there are people who care for us, even in our isolation."
Rikta Begum, a mother of two orphans, said: "Since losing my husband, life has been incredibly difficult for me and my children. The food aid from Qatar Charity has been a tremendous blessing during Ramadan, allowing us to fast and break our fast with dignity, thanks to their support."
QC's Bangladesh office is also gearing up to distribute Zakat al-Fitr to approximately 5,845 families, benefitting 29,225 individuals. In addition, Its Eid Clothing Project will provide over 500 orphans with Eid clothing.
With the support of the people of Qatar, QC's Ramadan campaign "Giving Lives On" aims to benefit 4.5mn people across 40 countries.
