With the support of donors and in line with the holy month of Ramadan, Qatar Charity (QC) has provided a package of humanitarian aid to affected and needy families in Morocco's Tata region, which was hit by floods last September, resulting in both human and material losses.

A total of around 34,400 people have benefited from the aid, a statement said. The humanitarian aid was distributed to nomadic families during an official ceremony attended by the Governor of Tata Province. QC team also visited the multifunctional space for women in Tata and Aqaa, where sewing machines were distributed to in women's cooperatives.

Eelectric and manual wheelchairs were distributed to centres for the integration of people with disabilities.

Osman Maysar, the head of a local institution, expressed his gratitude to QC and noted that the contribution would greatly improve the lives of the beneficiaries. Mohammed Abu Hulub, director of QC’s office in Morocco, said: "We are committed to continuing our humanitarian and developmental efforts in partnership with local national institutions to improve the lives of needy families and strengthen the economic and social independence of the most vulnerable groups."
