Two Palestinians were martyred Wednesday after they had been shot by the Israeli occupation soldiers' gunfire in the southern Gaza Strip.
Medical sources confirmed the martyrdom of a Palestinian who had succumbed to grievous wounds inflicted by live ammunition fired by the occupying forces in the city of Rafah.
Another Palestinian was likewise martyred, having succumbed to a critical gunshot wound to the head inflicted by the occupying forces in the town of Khuzaa, east of Khan Younis, several days ago.
The number of Palestinian martyrs has risen to 137 since the commencement of the ceasefire agreement, including approximately 52 who have fallen in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
Since the early hours of Wednesday, the Israeli occupation forces have continued to conduct intense shelling with tank fire targeting various areas across the Gaza Strip.
The fatality toll from the Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip has climbed to 48,503 martyrs, with an additional 111,927 wounded since October 7, 2023.
A ceasefire deal between Hamas movement and Israel took effect on Jan.19, 2025, but the Israeli occupation forces keep breaching its provisions and conducting airstrikes and gunfire operations in various regions of the Gaza Strip, resulting in casualties.
