Maysara continued her winning streak in the Al Mamoura Cup as the mare under jockey Pierre Charles Boudot delivered another commanding performance, securing her second straight victory at Al Rayyan Racecourse on Saturday night.
Boudot bided his time before unleashing Maysara’s impressive turn of foot in the final straight. The five-year-old mare, owned by Mohammed Abdulhadi S al-Hajri and trained by Hamad al-Jehani, powered past the leaders, winning comfortably by over two lengths.
Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC) Chairman and President of Asian Equestrian Federation Hamad bin Abdulrahman al-Attiya crowned the winners.
The victory marked second win for Boudot, who earlier guided Al Mutaghatris to win in the Local Purebred Arabian Handicap 45-70. The meeting featured eight races with Youssef Lachhab piloting Dukhan (Local Thoroughbred Handicap 55-80), and Faleh Bughanaim steering Millions (Thoroughbred Handicap 65-85) to victories.
In the Purebred Arabian Handicap 65-85, Sakher was victories with Ivan Rossi in the saddle, while Ishraaqat topped the Local Thoroughbred Novice Plate under jockey Abdulla Rashid al-Hajri.
The meeting kicked off with a win for See All Match, ridden by Saleh Faraj al-Otaibi, in the Thoroughbred Maiden Plate followed by the Purebred Arabian Maiden Plate title for Lattam Al Shajah under the guidance of jockey Fayos Martin Borja.
