Al Adaam continued their fine run in the second edition of the Al Thumama Ramadan Championship with a 2-0 victory over Al Janoub, maintaining their position at the top of the standings.
Omar Tariq of Al Adaam was named best player of the match for his standout performance.
In the second game, Al Zaeem and Al Yarmouk played to a 0-0 draw, with Yaman al-Dahan of Al Zaeem earning the best player award. The final match of the round saw Palestine defeat Tariq bin Ziyad 2-1, with Abdullah al-Khatib of Palestine receiving the best player honour.
Al-Khatib, a standout player for Palestine, shared his excitement about participating in the championship, praising the warm welcome from the organising committee, led by Hassan al-Ishaq and tournament director Youssef bin Ali Abdel Nour. Despite the fierce competition, al-Khatib is hopeful his team will secure an advanced position and continue giving their best performances in pursuit of the title. The tournament, which features players aged 10 to 14, is held at Al Furjan Stadium in co-operation with the Qatar Sports for All Federation.
Two matches are scheduled for today: Al Zaeem will take on Al Nusoor at 8:30pm, followed by Palestine vs Al Yarmouk at 9:20pm.
