HE Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal al-Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, on Thursday visited Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development, where he reviewed QSTP’s role in stimulating the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in the country.
During the visit, the minister reviewed the contributions of QSTP’s startups and enterprises in developing innovative solutions, advancing the knowledge-based economy, and equipping industrial and commercial sectors with cutting-edge technology. HE Sheikh Faisal also met with representatives of Qatari and foreign startups operating from QSTP, and attended presentations on their projects, technology solutions, and contributions to key economic sectors.
This visit comes in line with national efforts aimed to enhance the innovation and entrepreneurship environment, encourage investment in knowledge- and technology-based industries, and strengthen the competitiveness of national economy, thereby creating new opportunities for sustainable growth.
