The Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) has announced the successful implementation of various initiatives aimed at alleviating suffering and enhancing long-term resilience in Gaza.

These efforts align with Qatar's ongoing commitment to providing humanitarian support.

In a statement Tuesday, QFFD said that they have sent 800 trucks carrying 25,000 shelter tents, 120,000 food parcels, and other aid items including blankets, flour, and hygiene kits to meet the needs of affected families. Additionally, two helicopters conducted air drops of 29,000 boxes of medicines, including antibiotics, to address urgent health needs in the sector.

Furthermore, 423 trucks carrying 23mn litres of fuel have been sent to ensure stable energy supplies across Gaza. In support of Gaza's reconstruction and resilience efforts, mechanical equipment for debris removal has been provided, alongside ensuring continuous shelter provision for displaced individuals through caravans.

QFFD's Head of Humanitarian Programmes and Projects Sheikha Mthayel al-Thani emphasised the importance of preserving human dignity and reiterated the QFFD's commitment to supporting the Palestinian people. She stated that Qatar aims, through immediate aid and long-term developmental solutions, to empower the people of Gaza, fostering their perseverance and resilience.

She added that QFFD is committed to supporting Gaza's residents amidst their dire humanitarian circumstances, with the mission's focus on providing relief, enhancing resilience, and empowering local communities in Gaza and globally through sustainable development.

QFFD reaffirmed its full commitment to working with various state entities, local and international partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery of aid to those in need, and also emphasised its ongoing pivotal role in international efforts to support Gaza, reflecting Qatar's dedication to promoting international solidarity and shared responsibility.
