The Ministry of Social Development and Family, represented by the Family Empowerment Department, launched Monday the third edition of the "From the Homeland" Ramadan Bazaar for the year 2025, in the presence of HE the Minister of Social Development and Family Buthaina bint Ali al-Jabr al-Nuaimi.

The current edition, in collaboration with the Museum of Islamic Art and with the support of the Social and Sports Activities Support Fund, witnessed wide participation from owners of national productive projects that were distinguished by a great diversity of products.

Assistant Undersecretary for Family Affairs Sheikha Sheikha bint Jassim al-Thani said that "the ministry strives to support and enhance productive projects by providing a stimulating and sustainable environment for project owners. The ministry works on continuous co-ordination with the concerned authorities to facilitate the process of marketing products and providing all forms of support to develop these projects. The ministry seeks to empower members of society to achieve economic independence and contribute effectively to the development of the national economy."

For her part, Director of the Family Empowerment Department at the Ministry of Social Development and Family Fatima al-Nuaimi noted that allocating a special family day in which the ministry and museum employees participate with their children aims to strengthen social ties, adding that the "Garangao Market" held on the sidelines of the bazaar aims to preserve the popular heritage and enhance the national identity, in addition to keeping pace with the atmosphere of the holy month.

This edition is distinguished by the fact that a "family day" was allocated for the participation of the ministry and museum employees with their children in interactive workshops and competitions aimed at enhancing community interaction.

The bazaar also witnessed the participation of a number of youth initiatives that displayed their services and work to support project owners, in addition to the participation of young people in displaying and marketing their products, as about 22 productive projects participated in the bazaar, in addition to three projects for young people and three youth initiatives, which reflects the great diversity in participation in this important event.

The "From the Homeland" bazaar, which is held over six days in the garden of the Museum of Islamic Art, is one of the most prominent events organised by the ministry during the holy month of Ramadan.

The bazaar aims to enhance community partnership through cooperation with the Social and Sports Activities Support Fund, as well as spreading community awareness about the importance of productive projects.

The bazaar also constitutes a platform to support and empower owners of productive projects and contributes to opening new marketing areas to enable products to reach markets.
