HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani, met Sunday with the visiting Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad al-Shaibani.
The meeting dealt with bilateral relations and ways to support and enhance them. The two sides also discussed the latest developments in Syria, in addition to several topics of common interest. HE Sheikh Mohammed reiterated Qatar's position in support of Syria's unity, sovereignty, and independence, as well as its commitment to the aspirations of the Syrian people for a dignified life and the establishment of a state based on institutions and the rule of law. He also affirmed Qatar's support for efforts aimed at reconstruction, development, and stability in Syria.
