The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) handed over on Thursday morning the bodies of four Israeli hostages as part of a prisoner exchange agreement with the Israeli entity.

This came after the movement announced yesterday its decision to deliver the bodies of the four hostages, which include the Bibas family and the body of Oded Lifshitz. Hamas said that all of them were alive before the occupation aircraft deliberately bombed the locations where they were being held.

According to Qatar News Agency's (QNA) correspondent, the handing over took place in the Bani Suheila area, east of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, in the presence of a representative from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), who signed the handover document alongside a commander from Al-Qassam Brigades.

This handover is part of the 7th batch of the first stage of the prisoner exchange deal between Hamas and the Israeli entity.

The ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement between Hamas and the Israeli entity began on Jan. 19. The first stage will last for 42 days, during which negotiations will take place to initiate the second and third stages, with Qatari and Egyptian mediation, and US support. (
