Qatar Calendar House, in cooperation with Al-Ajari Scientific Center in Kuwait, announced that according to the accurate astronomical calculations conducted by specialists, the first day of the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1446 AH, astronomically, will be on Saturday, March 1.
A joint statement by the Qatar Calendar House and Al-Ajari Scientific Center explained that the crescent moon of this year will be born on Friday, February 28 (the day of sighting), at (3:45) in the morning, Doha and Kuwait time, (12:45) in the morning, Universal Time.
The statement added: The legal decision to enter the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1446 AH remains the responsibility of the Crescent Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
